Benjamin Chaud – Gestur 2018 / Guest 2018

Mýrin tilkynnir með stolti að Benjamin Chaud verður gestur hátíðarinnar í haust.
Benjamin Chaud fæddist árið 1975 í Suður-Frakklandi. Hann nam við listaskólana Les arts appliqués í París og Les Art Décoratifs í Strasbourg. Fljótlega eftir útskrift sem mynd-skreytir var Chaud tvívegis boðið að taka þátt á Barnabókamessunni í Bologna.

Árið 2011 kom bókin Une chanson d’ours (The Bear’s Song) út. Stóri björn leitar að litla birni sem hefur horfið úr hýðinu. Litli björn er hins vegar að elta býflugur því þar sem býflugur eru, þar er hunang! Leit þeirra að hvor öðrum og hunangi ber þá inn í stórborgina og inn í iðandi óperuhús þar sem kærkomnir endurfundir eiga sér stað. Sögurnar um Litla björn og Stóra björn unnu samstundis hug og hjörtu lesenda á öllum aldri.
