Hjörleifur Hjartarson – Gestur 2018 / Guest 2018

Það gleður Mýrina að tilkynna að Hjörleifur Hjartarson er gestur hátíðarinnar í haust.
Hann er kennari að mennt en hefur samhliða kennslu starfað sem rithöfundur, textasmiður og tónlistarmaður. Eftir hann liggja nokkrar bækur í bundnu og óbundnu máli fyrir börn og fullorðna, leikrit og þýðingar. Hjörleifur er annar tveggja meðlima hljómsveitarinnar Hundur í óskilum sem fyrir utan að gefa út tónlist hefur getið sér gott orð fyrir fyndnar tónleiksýningar.
Hjörleifur hefur unnið við textagerð fyrir söfn og sýningar og leiddi eitt slíkt verkefni hann á slóðir fuglanna sem flögrað hafa í kringum hann æ síðan. Einn fjölmargra ávaxta þeirrar sambúðar er bókin Fuglar sem hann gerði ásamt Rán Flygenring teiknara og kom út árið 2017.

We proudly present the talented Hjörleifur Hjartarson as one of our guests at this year’s festival. Hjörleifur is a teacher but alongside his teaching career he works as an author, copywriter and musician. He has published both verse and prose books for children and adults, plays and translations. Hjörleifur is one of the two members of the music group Hundur í óskilum.
They have become famous for their funny and educative music performances which are highly appreciated in theatres both in Reykjavik and Akureyri.
Hjörleifur has worked as a project manager and made texts for museums and exhibitions. One of those projects led him to the area of the birds that have been flying around him ever since. One of the outcome of that is the book Fuglar (“Birds”) published in 2017 that Hjörleifur wrote in collaboration with illustrator Rán Flygenring.   Read more …
